Cannot start FMSE17

I have the latest Steam version, Windows 10, and I have also opted out of all beta versions. I have installed FM 2017 FLUT skin dark - 2.6, and Football Manager 2017 Real Names License Fix. Other than that, there are no addons.

My game version is 17.3.1

I cannot get the FMSE17 working, it simply says "failed to load football manager data: could not find a compatible football manager version".

What should I do?

Any chance you're running on 32-bit version architecture?

If not, do you have FM17 open with your save loaded, before trying to load data on FMSE17?

If you have 64-bit and FM17 was open with game loaded, and still get that message, could you please send us your save file (upload to a free file hosting site, such as sendspace)?
