Hi everyone, I'm starting this topic in the hope that some kind person can help me. I have had too recently fork out for a new hard drive for my MacBook Pro and the guy who installed put all my games into separate folders for me to use, my problem is now however, I have it back and I'm trying to re - install my games that I was playing previously ( which was FM12 ) and the various skins that I was using but I have absolutely no idea how I go about it, I managed to find something where to get the German teams I have to look into a db folder ( ??? ) and delete something from there but so far I am just going around in circles and getting more and more frustrated by the minute and getting increasingly annoyed, so I'm hoping that some kind person can help me out by explaining to me whee Im going wrong

Many thanks in advance
If someone could please help me, Id be most appreciative I'm wondering if its even worth deleting everything although Im unsure what to delete / uninstall
First off, there are 2 locations you need to find on your Mac:

1) the FM installation folder (to apply the real names fix) and

2) your user data folder (to add logos / faces / kits / skins)

To find the FM installation folder is easy.:

> open the Steam client
> go to Library
> right-click (light tap on the trackpad with 2 fingers) on FM & select Properties
> on the new window, go to Local Files tab & click the Browse Local Files button

You will be taken to your FM installation folder that will open on Finder.

To install the real names fix, please follow the instructions on its download page. This fix is for FM17 but will work with FM12 as well, since these license files are essentially text files.

Your user data folder, can be found here:

/Users/[Your Mac Username]/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 20XX/ (where XX is 12 in your case)

Enter that folder and install the graphics of your choice. That link will take you to FM17 graphics, but they can be used on FM12 as well.

Hope this helps.

Hiya buddy so sorry for the very late reply, I have followed your instructions and I have now been able to find the installation folder and have now deleted the fake files so now I'm able to see the real players in the German and Japanese full national teams however, Im a little confused about the user data folder, I looked on youtube for some instructional videos and they suggested using a separate folder ( which they set up ) called " Skins ", where folk had the skin, back packs etc etc .... but when I looked through various files I seem to have 4 separate folders called skins, so I'm wondering if its worthwhile deleting these are starting from scratch ???

Many thanks for all your help so far, its truly appreciated
