Genie scout virus?

Hello everyone,

Today i tried to install genie scout 17 latest version. When i tried to extract the file appeared a message from my anti virus saying the file was infected. Does anyone know why?

Genie Scout is 100% safe. Definitely virus free and malware free.

Some antivirus software might give false flags about it, I'm guessing Norton could be one of them.

One possible reason is that a few years ago Genie Scout's setup file was bundled with an advertisement that might have affected how programs like Norton react when finding any exe file containing Genie Scout in its name.

At any case, rest assured the GS installation exe is perfectly safe.
