Prologue

Manchester, 16th August 2016
Fans watched from the grandstand as an irate Phil Neville made his way across the pitch. Some laughed at the admittedly awkward snarl on his face. Some pointed at the direction he was seemingly headed. Phil was unfazed by all of it, and had his eyes on one person.
Gary Neville was standing with his assistant, a certain Paul Scholes, discussing the match ahead. The players were still in the dressing room, preparing, but Gary wanted to be out on the pitch to talk tactics with Paul. He had just finished his first ever pre-match press conference, what with all the added media coverage around the match. He quietly smiled to himself, remembering his comments. Sure, they were a little bit inflammatory, and Phil might be a bit upset, he reasoned, but it was just manager mind games, right?
He didn't see his younger brother approach from the side until he saw Phil's fist flying towards his face.
