I would like to know an alternative option for the 4-1-2-3 MD, keeping the 6 DLP and the Wingers.
Keep in mind that i use na offensive pressuring mentality, and my best players are the wingers and the forward
I use a flat 5-3-2 and it has worked both with lower league teams, higher tier teams and against human players on the draft mode. I can't post a screenshot rn. but the basics are this:
GK - Defend
RB - Full Back (Attack)
CB - Central Defender (Defend)
CB - Defensive Centre Back (Defend)
CB - Central Defender (Stopper)
LB - Full Back (Attack)
CM - Deep Lying Playmaker (Defend)
CM - Box to Box Mid (Support)
CM - Advanced Playmaker (Support)
ST - Complete Forward (Attack)
ST - Advanced Forward (Attack)
Instructions are; Higher Tempo, Look for Overlap, Whipped Crosses, More Direct Passing, Closing Down More. Works well on counter with worse players, with the full backs bombing forward after defending however can be played on counter or attacking as long as your 3 centre backs have the quality to defend without as much support. I have only used it on fluid as structured or more defensive options i don't think the full backs would get as far forward to provide the width
NOTE: I don't think i had any specific player instructions but essentially the fullbacks overlap, get balls up to complete forward and the whole team transitions quickly from defensive situations to attacks
