A solid start to the league season and a stunning signing in Goretzka!
@mgriffin2012 Thanks mate. Hopefully Goretzka can meet my expectations!

Solid September

The Gunners showed pace, skill and probed weaknesses ruthlessly in the manner of a team at the top of its game in their first game of September as they brush aside title holders Chelsea.
But the glory at the Emirates was followed by an uninspiring home loss on Thursday night against San Sebastian caused by a goal from Ex-Gunner Carlos Vela.
However, Arsenal recovered with a deserved away win at Everton, following a tight win in extra time against Reading in the Carabao Cup.
After that, Tuchel's side made their trip to St. James' Park drawing against an infrom Newcastle side.
The Gunners ended September with an away win against Basaksehir, getting their first points in this year's Europa League campaign.

Tuchel's comment:
I don't really know what to think of this month. It started absolutely brilliant! 4-0 in against our rivals Chelsea. We showed everyone what we are capable to do. We played with so much power and pace that The Blues really had no chance.
But I was a bit concerned after we lost to San Sebastian in midweek. Of course, they have a strong side but we played at home and we should have scored at least. Luckily we are back on track in the Europa League after our win in Turkey at the of this month.
It makes me proud that we are still unbeaten in the league but games like the one against Newcastle are games that we should be winning! We did not play well and it reminded me of our trip to Southampton where we only got one point as well. It's two draws in three away games now - a record that just isn't good enough. We really have to improve away from home.
However, let's look on the good things. Goretzka settled in very quickly and he already showed his class. I am very happy how the team integrated him and I believe that he already belongs to the core of the squad. Another positve is Nketiah's first goal for the first team. If really hope that he can continue his progress. The same can be said about Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Holding and Dragomir. All of them looked pretty solid during their appearances and I believe that they have a future at Arsenal.
Looking in to the near future, must win games against Swansea, Brighton, Hertha BSC and Burnley, followed by two very tough fixtures against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup and Tottenham away in the Premier League are awaiting us.
Let's see if we can keep moving into a positve direction!
Amazing result against Chelsea! Must have hurt to see Adebayor scoring against you though...
@TNFM Luckily we got the win in the end. Who laughs last, laughs best ;-)
Couple of frustrating results in there, namely the Real Sociedad and Newcastle results but a good month all round and hopefully things are moving forward in the right direction!
@mgriffin2012 especially frustrating cause we didn't score. Anyway, all in all things aren't looking too bad

Thomas Tuchel Inside

Thomas Tuchel is now more than 2 months in charge as an Arsenal manager. We take a look on his work so far, speak about his time at Borussia Dortmund and his transfer policy.

The German joined The Gunners in July, not even two months after he got the sack at Borussia Dortmund. But to stay out of football "was always out of question. That's why I haven't thought twice when Arsenal made their enquiry."
The German had been sacked by Borussia Dortmund just a few days after winning the German Cup. "Of course I was quite surprised. The board and I had some arguments but I never had the feeling that these would affect the players and our performances."

Just 2 months after winning the German Cup and guiding his team into the Champions League, Thomas Tuchel found himself in London Colney working with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Özil and Alexandre Lacazette. "I don't think that history will repeat itself. What happened at Dortmund was something, and I'm saying this with full confidence, that won't happen again."

The arguments between the board and the manager started after the bomb attack on Dortmund's team bus only hours ahead of their Champions League game against Monaco. "We were discordant about the date of the replay game.", Tuchel says. "Things started to get out of hand afterwards. But I always thought that we could have solved the argument. However, I am here now and I will give everything for Arsenal now."

It's fair to say that his hard work paid of in his first months in charge. The Gunners won the Community Shield and are still unbeaten in the Premier League.

"Things are looking good at the moment but we have to stay focused. I always want to win and if something isn't going to plan I can get very angry.", the German said while smiling like a school boy who just received a top grade. "I have no problem to work overtime as long as it pays off. But when that doesn't happen I can get very frustrated. That is down to the fact that I am a very impatient person. To say it with a song: I want it all and I want it now."
Arsenal fans certainly want to win all types of titles as well and Tuchel has worked to bring instant success to the Emirates. With signings of Manolas, Weiser, Goretzka and Lacazette Arsenal have been one of the top spenders during the transfer period. "I know Goretzka and Weiser from the Bundesliga and after working at Arsenal for a couple of weeks I already knew that both of them will fit in perfectly."
And they did. Goretzka had his first game in an Arsenal shirt at the Emirates when Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-0. Seems like money wins games at last. "I don't like to spend big. I like to work with younger players, to develop them and to win things with players that play for the club and not for the money. But it's part of the game to get the players you want into the squad when you arrive at a new club. That's just something that you have to do in order to be successful."

And success is? "Winning titles.".
Appointing Tuchel could be an absolute master stroke by the Arsenal board!
It is quite enjoying to read. Good luck with your career.

May I ask have you convinced Alexis Sanchez to renew his contract ?

Which formations and tactics do you use ?

Good luck once more.
Good insider on Tuchel. Good month too. Losses in Europe happens but whats more important is that you are still unbeaten in the league. Arsenal needs to get back to top 4 and moreover needs to win otherwise Tuchel might just be for a short term too.
@mgriffin2012 well hopefully he's not just a flash in the pan!

@fanarin thanks mate! I haven't been able to make him a contract offer yet and sadly he is one of a few players who opposes the manager so signs are on departure. I haven't got a tactic or formation that I always use. I always try to switch it up a bit, depending on the opponent. 4-2-3-1 on control is my most common tactic though.

@anshum2007 Thanks mate! Champions League is a must next season!

New update coming soon! My laptop crashed last week but I got it back today.

Tuchel's comment:
A month that just wasn't good enough. We started pretty good with two wins in two games and it all looked good. The team played with fun, created many chances and defended well. The loss against Berlin was unlucky because we were the far better side but it just wasn't to be. However, Burnley really gave us a tough fight and we just couldn’t get clear cut chances against their solid defence. I must admit that we actually were lucky that they did not hit us on the counter in a few situations. It was a bad game and I feel sorry for all the fans who had to watch this, but more exciting games were on the horizon. The Carabao Cup game against United saw so many chances on both sides and I have no idea how it ended 0-0 after extra time. We all know who got the better on penalties though...But we had the chance for reparation just a few days after. The North London Derby against Tottenham at Wembley and you have to say that we have bottled it. We have missed two sitters in the opening minutes but then the Spurs dominated us and got a deserved win. A really annoying loss and we know that we have to step our game up in the next month were away trips in the Europa League to Berlin and San Sebastian are waiting for us with two home games in the Premier League against Crystal Palace and Huddersfield in between. After our journey to San Sebastian, we have two away games in Manchester, visiting Old Trafford and The Ethiad followed by an away trip to Leicester to end the week and to start December. I am everything but happy about this run of games. Four away games in nine days is just a joke. However, we will do our best to get as many points as possible.
Good start man, still doing well in the league despite a bad month but european results could improve. Don't lose sleep over the united game, penalties is a lottery!
Some disappointing results against United and Spurs and it's those kind of results which made Wenger unpopular towards the end so there is room for improvement and clear where that improvement needs to come
