Please help, ive been trying to play this game for ages but every time get sack by JAN!!

I only wanna be West Ham (my team) ive tried 4-4-2 , 4-3-3, 4-1-3-2 , nothing seems to work, my strikers never really shoot, wingers never do much!! Def always getting 5 maybe

Please someone tell me a good formation and what each player should be doin!!! Im not a fan of this telling each player what to do but i feel its important

Ive tried to do there GK , DEF etc settings but they seem no good

Please someone help
listen, i can not make tactic for you.
tactics depends on your team, and i do not know West Ham.
look at the texts in Tactics and Training and you will see some tactics and some advices.probably useful.

i posted some tactics of basic styles of play.try some of these and watch your players in game and modify this tactic for your needs.in that proces you must lose some games.3276-basicstylesofplay.rar

Nope decided this game is just crap, one min i beat man utd 3-0 then the same team at home lose to derby 4-0 , this is just a crap game, you cant do sh*t , Championship mangers up untill 02 were the best since then they have been goin down hill and getting far to indepth,

SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS SH*T GAME AND GET YOURSELF GEARS OF WAR!!!

Gears of War, now there's a **** game.
morrison mate.

seriously i think football manager is a game for the head and not just entertainment.

its not like fifa so you will win everything.

its like reality in FM, much is upto you and its your job to become a good manager and learn how to handle teams and make em good or stable.

and i think as i am a football freak that football manager is one of the best games ever.

but then again if u dont love football or just want to win and dont wanna be bothered with tactics...then play fifa. simple as that.
good said Red Army.
if your teams performances are inconsistent and generally poor its usually poor team talk. The teamtalk feedback bit doesn't always tell you the whole story.

Anyway my point is hire a good assistant who's good at motivating and let him do the teamtalks.

Morrison - The things like commenting on an opponent before the game or your team talk can make the difference between winning and losing a game. Like losing 4-0 to Derby - Did you say before the game that you expect to win the game easily? If you did then your players could've been complacent and you may have angered the Derby players and inspired them to victory. For consistency avoid commenting on a game before kick off as it has all kinds of effects on your team. Some positive and some negative.
FM08 is a massively in depth game and sorting out each indivual players tactics is essential to be successful. Tactics and training are two of the most important aspects to the game and you must master them to get the best out of your players. It takes time and dedication. You need to be a football fanatic like most of the people on this site to get the real enjoyment out of the game. It's not all about signing players I'm afraid!
