Now that all of that shameless promotion is out of the way, let the story begin...

In my Football Manager 2018 Journeyman series, we will be following 4 rules to keep things fun and interesting:
1. We can spend a maximum of 3 full seasons at a club (at any one time).
2. We are not allowed to use the player/scout report screen. All players signed must
been found using scout reports or using the stats screen when looking at your
league. Any staff that are appointed must be appointed by the director of football (if
we have one) or through job adverts.
3. Once we've won the top division of a country, we can not return there. I.e. if we were
to win the Premier League in England, we can't manage there again.
4. I have to make realistic decisions within the game, such as financial and
geographical decisions - particularly early on in the game, I.e. I must make the
decisions I would personally make.

More details about the rules can be found on the "Episode 0" of my YouTube Series. If you guys are playing along, let me know what rules (if any) you have imposed on yourself and let me know how your save is getting along.

I started out my journeyman series at Vanarama National League North club Blyth Spartans as they were the club geographically closest to my front door (in South Shields) at 15.4 miles! To find out what happened in those first few games, watch my YouTube series :)

After 6 months at Blyth Spartans we unfortunately were relieved of our duties after a very tough start to the season. I personally thought the decision was harsh - but hey ho! You live and learn! After an extensive job hunt, we found our second job at Blyth's league rivals and fellow relegation candidates Curzon Ashton! Can we keep them up? Or will we be looking for a 3rd job in a year? Find out in my YouTube series linked above.

Let me know what you think down below - if you enjoy, I'll be keeping regular updates on this forum and asking for your advice on which jobs to go for and signings to make!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day - thanks for reading and goodbye :)

After 6 games in charge, we were lying in 21st place in the league and needed a great escape to stay up and avoid the sack for the second time in our first season! Can we pull it off? Find out in the Season 1 finale:

After the heroics of the last day of the season in our first year at Curzon Ashton, we then went away and made some summer signings to strengthen the squad, could we make a push for promotion this season or would we be destined for another year battling relegation (and the sack)? After 34 games of our second season at Curzon Ashton, we were lying in 16th place after a poor run of form followed a great start to the season that seen us flirting with the playoffs! We then got a very interesting offer and a very difficult decision to make... find out what I'm talking about in part 9 of season 2 of the Journeyman!

That's right we made the switch! Boston were offering me £600 a week and that sort of offer is just too good to turn down. They were lying in 12th in the league and were still in with an outside chance of getting into the playoffs! Meet the squad and see our first game in charge in part 10 of the Journeyman series:

In today's episode we come up against a very well known face and personality in the world of football - mostly for the wrong reasons - it's Joey Barton! He's wound up being the manager of Guiseley - can we win the battle today? Find out in part 2 of season 3 of the Journeyman!

Check out Part 3 of Season 3 of my FM18 Journeyman Series with Boston United! After a good, but unspectacular start to the season, can we get back on track in the two games today? One of them is against our old club Curzon Ashton! If things go well today, we might even find ourselves in the Playoff places!
