Hey guys! This is my first ever FM story so I apologise in advance if it's bad! For my first save in FM18, I am going to be using Hull City for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's my local team (I got to all the home matches and sometimes go to away ones too). Secondly, there is a lot of conflict between the chairman, director and the fans. I would love to see some effects within this years game because of this conflict. Thirdly, Hull did very well in the latter half of the season last year when they were in the Premier League when Marco Silva was in charge. Therefore, they deserve to be back in there (unfortunately it doesn't look like they'll be getting promoted in real life). My goal is to win the Champions League with Hull City, I will need a lot of help though as I only started playing FM about 6 months ago and I am still rubbish at it!

The first update you will see is my transfers where I will explain all my transfers and I can tell you already, I am very pleased with my signings so far.

Here are all my transfers in and out for the summer transfer window:

I brought in 10 players (some of which I do regret getting though) which meant I spent £30.5m.
Salif Dramé
I was disappointed with this signing because my scouts said he could have 5* potential after scouting him up to 100%. However, when I signed him, my scouts have now said that he will be lucky to get 3*'s. Fortunately I didn't have to spend any money on this piece of crap. He is now on loan at Peterborough where he will be more use.
Marcin Wasilewski
Another free transfer. He is 37 years young so he won't be much use next season; I will most likely move him on or let him retire and possibly sign him as a staff member. The main reason I signed him was because of Dynamics. We have another polish member in the squad so I thought it would help.
Jason Shackell
This was my first non-free transfer. We picked him up from Derby, he just adds more depth into the defence, he also has the ability to squeeze his way into the first team if he performs. His stats are average however, I still believe Shackell will be a huge factor into our promotion push.
Chuba Akpom
Ex-City player. He wasn't good when he played for us before (only getting 2 goals in around 40 games). However, looking at his stats, I believe he will be good enough to replace Abel whilst he is out injured as Dicko and Campbell aren't the best strikers we could have signed Slutsky!!! Anyways, I picked him up for a bargain price of £3 million. Akpom will still improve and has the potential to be better than Abel. Hopefully he develops well at the club (SPOILER: He has already done fantastically for us).
Jonathon Mitchell
Despite him being slightly worse than our current keeper, I believe he already has a sufficient amount of ability to replace McGregor. I am currently going to rotate both of these keepers every match. This will hopefully keep them both happy. Mitchell also has potential to be better than McGregor but I am probably going to make Mitchell my back up and get someone else next season such as Rajkovic.
Josh Murphy
This was our 'big money' signing. We only had 2 good enough wingers (Bowen and Grosicki). Bowen isn't even that reliable because he's an untested youngster. Therefore, we needed an extra winger that is versatile enough to play on both wings. Furthermore, the winger needs to be as good/better than Bowen and this is when I saw Josh Murphy.
