Been a long time since ive been on here as lost account details. Anyway.... I started a game with ipswich town with the challenge of getting them up into the premiership within two seasons and then moving up the premiership. I suceeded in gaining promotion doing so through the play offs in the second season. But am struggling big time in the premiership. I play 4-5-1.
GK - Boruc

RB - Gunter
LB - Danny Fox
CB - Stephen Mcmanus
CB - Darren O'Dea

DM - Ignacio Camacho
CM - Owen Garvan
CM - Jamie O'Hara
RW - Zoltan Gera
LW - John Fleck

ST - Michael Owen

Personally i think its a decent squad, maybe it does lack experience but i do have good experience on the bench too. After 11 games im rock bottom having only won 1 match. I think the team still hasnt had time to settle as i did buy a lot of them players in the summer. Any feedback or ideas folks?
i think you need a stronger defence.
Definately agree on the point with, the defence. Im the past I've found physically dominant players do well in the Premier League. Also, as a Manchester United fan, I do like Michael Owen, but in your 3rd season you definately need some pace/height up front. You do have some promising players though.

If your bottom after 10 games, I think there's a need for some tactic shuffling, but that's up to you. Make sure your squad can comfortably backup injuries, you don't want players playing out of position when each game is important.

Try using a 5-4-1 if your going up against the big sides and try to play the counter attack and try and get a draw or push for a win. Also what is your transfer budget?
My transfer budget is 5.09m. BUT im currently 20k over wage budget and just gone into february. I could not sell anyone in January it was depressing. Ive got Vaclav Kadlec joining in the summer then ill get rid of Owen. Keeps getting injured. Also ive got Morgan Schneiderlin joining from Southampton in the summer as well.
convert yout transfer budget to wages, so your within the wage budget, it will keep the board happy
I got relegated but now in the championship in and around the play offs after 12 matches. Have given up on the 4-5-1 and now play 4-4-2.

GK - Brian Murphy as i sold Boruc due to wages

RB - Chris Gunter
LB - Kieran Gibbs (loan)
CB - Darren O'Dea
CB - Mariuz Lewandowski

CM - Morgan Scheiderlin
CM - Ignacio Camacho
RW - Zoltan Gera
LW - John Fleck

ST - Robert Lewandowski
ST - Vaclav Kadlec

I decided to drop Stephen McManus after a shocking run of form in the premiership and then a poor start in the championship. Im letting him rebuild form and confidence in the reserves. I still have over 10million to spend with plenty of wage budget if anyone has recommendations? I would like a CB and RW that are established (bairing in mind im in 2012) and good enough for premiership.
Ivan_Campos_Hair : I would like a CB and RW that are established (bairing in mind im in 2012) and good enough for premiership.

Danny Wilson from Rangers? Can also fill in at left back. Depending on how he has developed he may have to be a loan signing though not sure.

Always keep checking whose contracts have about 6months to run, I picked up Andreas Gorlitz from Bayern Munich on a free, decent RB for a prem team, decent cover player but maybe good for Championship.

Neither of them would join me. Danny Wilson now playing for Genoa and world class player.
