Bole_ : assistant no ,but scouts of course :)

Scouts sometimes find you useless players too..and supposedly they have 19/20 or 20/19 stats for their scouting abilities Haha..but well scouts make mistakes too. It's up too you to assign them to unearth some hidden talents and also filter out the useless players
well listen,it is the only way.
except Genie Scout or FMM but i am not admirer of that kind of playing.

I try to listen to my assistant mainly during team talks, just to see what he has to say for himself, but because my team is expected to finish bottom of the premiership (media prediction) he usually says 'no pressure' or if we are losing 2-0 at half time he will say 'pleased - which isn't what I should be saying to my team.

did you ever change assistant?

Same is in my game, if you have gotten your team from lower league to higher league you'll need to switch assistants and physios and scouts or else they aint worth shit
yeah of course.

In my third season in Premier League i've signed a man who was my assistant in Coca-Cola League 2 :)

I brought the assistant I had at my last club and he had a CA (current ability) of 160 and he hadn’t lost a reserve team game in over 5 years.
who was he?

He is called Inge Lennartsson. He was at IF Heimer when I joined – he was the only staff member who didn’t need replacing.

I was scared the board was going to sack me and put him in charge because his reserve team record was that good lol.

When I joined Preston I brought in 5 out of the 7 people who left IF Heimer when I did - I would have got the other two but one became a manager (and did well) and the other became a physio.

Only listen to your assistant manager about signing players if his judging of players ability and potential are very good. ie. 14 or above. Otherwise the advice he gives you could be wrong.
I find the assistant managers team report rubbish at times cos they put players out of position and then give them a lower stars rating because of it.
My advice is to get a quality assistant manager at the start of the game if you haven't got one.

I just get assistant managers with good motivating and judging ability - if find this helps when offering contracts
