Hi! i am new to football manager (only had it for a couple of weeks) and i need some help in choosing a team. Any suggestions would be muchly appriciated 
Depends how immersed you want to get in to it to be honest.
As a new manager, you might find it easier to manage one of the bigger, richer clubs as the financial side can be easier and you already have decent coaches and staff installed.
Select the side you support IRL.
There are plenty of online help guides and team reports around to help.
My personal way is to let the game decide, or use a random method to select a nation, then start lower league in that nation.
Others will start the game unemployed and search for a job that way.
