Issues with v1.11 (Page 2)

so, i have a game running with every league in the world loaded up and such, yet FM Scout refuses to to load it, crashing half way through the People stage, complaining about Contract data being corrupted or some such thing.

Hey. I also have the 'nothing at all happens' problem when trying to run the .exe (XP/SP3).

I registered to offer this piece of information in hopes of a fix for 1.11: versions 1.0 and previous (the RCs) open perfectly fine, but 1.1 and 1.11 refuse to do anything. I expect the problem is due to something specific changing inbetween 1.0 and 1.1..

Wizard, Stam, everyone else who has contributed thanks very much, genie is working for me now.

Initially it just wouldn't start, so I removed flash, downloaded version 10 and it now works.

Not had Genie Scout for 2 and a half seasons and team has been doing OK, but I was suprised how poor some of my players were rated by GS.

Okay now I got it to work *embarrassed*. I'm not a complete noob and I had checked and followed the suggestions about flash before posting, but this time was the only one when I actually REMOVED flash from control panel (as BBMac said above) and then installed it rather than letting it update itself.

No matter what i do, i keep getting this error...:weep:weep

Error loading entity number: 93397
File position : 127870083
Data Base version : 1404
Data file seems to be corrupt. Wanted to read 1 bytes, Could only read 0 bytes.

hi i am having problem# 5. Loading error: Date file seems to be corrupt.
A user suggested that you can avoid this error if on game start "Add Key Staff" is off.

Just wondering how and where to turn off add key staff??

When creating a new game you can cancel the wizard and uncheck the 'add key staff' checkbox.

I don't know. I think you can only toggle the key staff option when creating a game, so if doing that enables you to use genie scout then yes you would need to create a new game (unless someone else can suggest a work-around..).

When i try to load i get the message 'The language database must be loaded to have an ability searching by Division'.
There is no language database loaded in the options tab and i can't find one in the FM10 files. Help!

hi guys,

i just downloaded the latest FM patch 10.3 and use GS v1.1
i can manage to start GS, but it wont load and get this error.
please see attached file.

can anyone advise me please?

Important note if you have RC 1:
While you are in FM, make sure you un-tick "Compress Save Games" in Preferences page and hit Confirm. After that, save your game again. Now you are ready to load it up on FM Genie Scout 10!

that should do it.
