Issues with v1.11

okay so i tried a game today with add key staff turned off and it worked.

i'm going to try to recreate my original game (around 30 leagues, 5 managers) and see if it still works for that.

what exactly does the key staff option do?

can't open 2nd link atm, my internet has gone to pants.

gonna create a fairly large game now and see how it goes, database size could be the problem though i last played fm2006 with genie and that had around 90,000 results. maybe they've balooned fm2010. :|

update from my predicament - (made own thread sorry that has been locked on the main scout 2010 page).


problem was:

windows 7
scout loads but with corruption error
game starts to load then errors no.152

fixed by:

unchecking add key staff. i've read this is to add a load more physio's scouts etc to the game. tbh, what's the need for them if you are usuing genie scout.

need to get the no-ads version now, i've clicked it at least 5 times as i run windowed and it disappears sometime.

edit to say i still get the corruption error when starting genie, but it starts and works fine anyway.

Did all that was laid out and still cant get FM Scout to do anything.

Hi can anyone help, I keep getting an error message when trying to load my game with FM Genie

"Invalid argument to date encode" when ever i try to load my saved game.

Now I have edited in a whole new team in to blue square south, all players, staff etc is it something to do with that? or what could it be??

I did as advice to update my windows and Java. It still not working.

After I saw TheJudderman post

TheJudderman : Okay now I got it to work *embarrassed*. I'm not a complete noob and I had checked and followed the suggestions about flash before posting, but this time was the only one when I actually REMOVED flash from control panel (as BBMac said above) and then installed it rather than letting it update itself.

I delete the flash from Control Panel 'without' reinstalling it and GS work by itself.

I have tried to load the saved game and it work ok without any glitch...

surprise surprise.... maybe GS has compatibility issues with Flash 10

Another issue in 1.11:
You know how, if you use the registered version on the wrong computer, all the names are wrong? Similarly, some highly talented regens from Brazil have completely wrong names (rather Arabian ones largely) in my game..

but after that genie scout give error
