Poll: Adding u23/Reserve squad

I have a career with FC Halifax Town and I have now reached the Premier League.

A proper I can already see is going to happen before it does is that my squad is becoming congested with younger players as I only have a First Team and u19 squad. Is there any way that you can get an u23s or reserves squad in the game when you are already in the middle of a career?

If anyone could help me with this I would appreciate it a lot, thanks.

You might need to upgrade youth facilities to s certain level before you get one.

I am surprised though, I was under the impression that Premier League was a requirement to field an u23s team as well.

Has the Checkatrade trophy started yet? Prem teams enter u23s into that, it could be the trigger for your club to make one.

Possible option ask the board for an Affiliate Club.

As Manager of Dunfermline Athletic, when game starts they are already affiliated with Fife Elite (basically an Under 18s), near the end of my second season I made a request to the board for a second Affiliated Team. I chose Edinburgh City in the Scottish 2nd Division, I use them primarily for loaning my 18-20 year old hot prospects.

Works reasonably well.
