Breaking News

Liverpool have unveiled their new manager, and to the surprise of many it isn't Rafa Benitez. Santiago Alguacil, a good friend of Benitez's was given the job which many fans won't be happy about. Alguacil had a great professional career as a player, but is yet to step into management and many believe Liverpool is too high of a starting point for such a new managers career. The 53 year old is reportedly delighted to be given the oppurtunity to continue what Klopp had started and is said to be over the moon with the squad he has inherited.

August Overview

Liverpool were undefeated in August, scoring 6 goals and conceding 0. They currently sit 2nd in the league, behind only Manchester City on goal difference. Despite picking up 3 wins, only 1 of Liverpools deadly front 3 picked up a goal, which could prove a problem later in the season.
Player of the month
Liverpools player of the month is undoubtedly the youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold, picking up 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 appearances.
Good start so far, goodluck for the rest of the season.
Great start, shame about Robertson's injury though.
