Stephen Arnold was an ex professional and International player for England, He also played for Bury FC, Crewe Alexandra and he had a trial with Manchester United when he was a kid.

After retiring Stephen had taken the coaching qualifications he always wanted. He could manage abroad or Home. The team he wanted was Bury FC. Then he got an offer to become there manager.

Due to financial difficulties Ryan Lowe left for Plymouth and the manager job was vacant.

Stephen with no hesitation applied. After three weeks of wonder. He was asked to come for an interview at Gigg Lane.

Arriving at Gigg Lane fans where queued up to see a glimpse of the manager who could be taking over.

Receptionist Jane was there with coffee and biscuits then she said Steve Dale will see you now.

Sweat pumping he went in to the office. Steve showed him the finances and budgets and his contract.

After a lengthly interview Steve Dale asked " Would you like the job" Stephen Signed on the doted line and became the new manage of Bury FC

Bury season was over before it had began. After 20 games into the season, A new owner would introduced.
And sack the coaching staff. Bury with Arnold where 10 in the league. The new owner decided to fire Arnold.Because he wanted Lee Clark back. What would happen to Arnold now.

A few days into unemployment. A few jobs came up. West Ham United sacked Moyes and asked for a meeting with Arnold. Also Southampton where looking for a new manager
