So, I started with Oxford City in the NL South. I purchased the 3rd from bottom Youth scouting package & 2nd from bottom Senior Package. I Have two scouts. I set one to search for End of Contract players & the other To Transfer of 0. Both under 23 players PA min 4, CA 3.5, scouting England (Default). It has been 6 weeks, All get is emails about contracted players from teams like Walsall & in the scout centre the same happens from them. I don't do player search, so as to maintain some realism. Am I missing something. Why are they not sending me scouting info for frees or 0 Transfers.
Thanks.
Have you looked in the actual assignments themselves for these players?
Is this under reports next to assignments? Either way I don't get why I get recommended players from League 2 by my scouts, that is not who I told to scout.
Are they definitely Scout Reports from your Scouts, and not players touting their availability? Is there an option when they appear to Scout these players?
Yeah, sure they are not players recommending themselves, I get those too. But the others are the scout saying they have scouted them, there is recommended score as well. Like I said I did not tell them to scout players from Walsall or Leaguer club.
It is in Scouting - Assignments - Reports. You will then see the report you have made and the number of players your scouts have found. They may bring players to you that you may take an interest in. See if you can find what you have asked for specifically in the scouting assignments.
I found the reports. Basically, thinking about it, it is not possible to send your scouts on assignments to find unattached players. You can only scout frees individually if you are aware them already, if that is the case just trial them. The scout going for Transfers of 0 was working correctly, he was finding players on month to month contracts. The other, doing end of contract, was finding players from Walsall who's contract was ending at the end of the season. There is no option for players currently without a club on the assignment filter.
