Who to sell?
Hi all,

I am playing my 5th season with Barsney under custom gegepress setup, now contender for Champions Cup and Premier Division.

My preferred team build up style is to get hold of prospective players and develop them (or sell if they fail), and so far it has been a successful strategy. I have done very well (maybe too well) last season by bringing in several strong wingers / inside forwards:
- Alan Virginius (21)
- Isaac Lihadji (21)
- Leandro Silverio Silva aka Le (20)
- Billy Andrews (19)

Currently, I also have Raphinha (27) who is a solid first eleven, and Ansu Fati (20) who I got hold of this mid-season transfer window thanks to internal conflict at Barsa. That is in addition to Rafael Leao and Silvinho who are my strikers but may occasionally play as inside forwards on either side. To summarize, my current choice of players is as follows:
- Two right inside forwards are Raphina and Lihadji
- Two left inside forwards are Ansu Fati and Leandro Silverio Silva
- Alan Virginius is on loan spell with Vigo
- Billy Andrews is 95% of time playing under 23

My view is that I have 1-2 too many players competing for inside forward / winger positions and I’d rather sell one and invest money end of season into a (potential) world star full back.

Which one to sell though? Considerations:
a) Sell Le who is suitable for playing as left-side winger only
b) Sell Lihadji who is suitable for playing as right-side inside forward only
c) Sell Raphinha who is 27 at the end of the season given his age and the highest value among all;
d) Sell Alan Virginius who is now on a loan spell

a) On a paper Alan Virginius is much better than Le. However, Alan Virginius would need to become more comfortable with playing on the left side. But will he? If I keep Alan on the right, that's three players for one spot. Raphinha can be moved on the left but has not been that great when playing on the left.

b) On a paper Alan Virginius is a bit better than Lihadji, in particular considering his ability to cross but his finishing is not great, so he is not suitable to becoming an inside forward but can be a great winger. (Note that I don't like to rely solely on ability of central forwards to score, so there is preference for having inside forwards / wingers with good ability to score). Lihadji also tends to get injured 6+times a year, however every time for less than a week so in total time lost, it is not significant.

c) I could also sell Raphinha who is 27 but he is stable and can play on both side of the field (although I do notice that he is not that good when playing on the left).

d) Selling Alan Virginius now. But this appears to be a waste given his value is only 12.5m now and I doubt more than 20m can be received from the sale. For comparisn, I have a negotiable offer for 35m from Lazio. Raphinha and Lihadji can deliver even more value if sold, which can be reinvested in some world star full back next season.

P.S. I don't consider selling Billy given he has been trained in nation and his determination, work rate and professional character are outstanding.

Any advice? Screens with player stats and my setup are attached:
