well maby i'm just stupid who haven't found a way to do this, but as far as i know, it's not possible to creat a shortlist, ranking the players by some attribute or coditions etc. and then make your scout go through a shortlist in a spacific order... someting SI shuld take a look at ASAP, it was possible in thier hockeymanagergame and was really help full, lets put it in FM as well
you can filter out a lot yourself when searching for players.
also you can send certain managers on a certain mission to find a certain type of player from a certain area.
for me i think those work a treat. i don't usually need scout that much tbh as i like to go a lot by my own knowledge. but you can make your scout search for certain type of players and filter out in the search.
You can also save your filters... and people could export and upload their filters for others to download maybe. It would be really easy for me to do that, and the same applies to shortlists, tactics and training schedules... in fact I have already made it possible to upload such files without the need to zip them before uploading. OK, that was slightly off-topic.
Regarding scouting shortlists, I'd want the option to send my scouts come up with scout reports on all players showing up from a custom search filter... or at least be able to add all of them to a new shortlist at once.
well stam, that's basicley what i'm saying regarding the custom search, for exampel, atm i'm in the swedish seconddivision, needless to say, not too much money to throw around... what i like to do is to sign the most valuble players and sell them in 6 moths... anyway, it would be nice to be able and send out a scout to start with the most valuble and work his way down the list ...
well if you want to search for most "valuable" u have to look yourself at which you think is most valuable.
i get your point though, that if you could be able to send them at a certain type of search as you suggest. i would like that as well.
but i think the current system is decent. i mean atm you might have to do a bit more work yourself looking around. and i personally like that.
What i would like is a quick fire shortlist for when you have scouted a player you can add it to the quick short list with one click as well as been able to quickly access it. maybe its me but shortlists seem slightly too long way roundish.
