Whats better for youngster development?

As the title says, I have signed a few good future prospects and I mean really good.

What is more beneficial to them improving, Staying with my U23 squad with brilliant coaches or loaning them out for the season with a guaranteed start every game with a lesser team for the season?

It depends which club/league they go on loan to really. Let's say you're playing in the PL, and you only get loan offers from the 3rd tier league, I'd say it's better to keep them in your U23's, where as if you get an offer from a PL team or maybe a good championship team you're better of letting the player go. Also, it's important to check what playing time they're offering to play your player, because that's probably the most important thing.

Players will improve better if they play with and against better players, and in better competitions. Hope that helps!

Personnally, what I do is check the current level of the player (can be seen in the report) if it says that he has a league 1 level, I would accept any loan offer for him if :

• The team, that is offering, plays in league 1 or better
• They're offering him a starter playing time

Cheers guys, signed a borderline wonder kid and loaned him out to Everton. They didn’t stick to their agreed playing time and shoved him in the reserves.
I didn’t compile loan reports so it’s my own fault then when I randomly checked on him I seen he had only started 3 games out of a possible 21
Recalled him now and will blend him into the first team ready for next season.

What I do with great up and coming players is put the in the senior squad but make the avaliable for the U23's and use them with a mixture of my senior squad on the cup games untill the semi final etc..

Also I will put a couple on the bench when I play bottom of the table teams and give them about 30 mins now and again.
