Amateur players turn 21, automatically start earning $1200/wk

Heyas,

I'm a FM noob.
I've been pottering along in an Australian custom database with promotion / relegation from the entire league pyramid (not overly important).

Something that is killing me financially year after year ..
All of my players are on amateur contracts.
I'm an amateur club.
When any of my 20 year olds turn 21, the day they turn 21 they automatically start earning $1200/week.
It doesn't matter what squad status their contract was on, it doesn't matter who handles contracts .. they all earn $1200/week until I negotiate a new contract.

How can I stop this so I don't keep haemorrhaging money that I don't have year after year??
Am I missing something super simple???

Looks like the custom database is set up to offer a minimum contract of 1200 when turning professional

They're not turning professional though.
The contacts remain amateur after they turn 21 too.

It's an amateur club, so paid contacts can't be offered.

Either way it will be part of the database that your using will be making it happen
