Glad to see you give an honorable mention to Seferović who seemed to have a great month and had Eze not been incredible once again, could have won it. Brilliant form that's for sure, the aim has to be keeping it going now.

Great results and superb position in the league! Seferovic & Eze are playing really well and are the "stars", but other players also are starting to perform better and better.

Hi guys, just thought I'd pop a quick update as I haven't posted in a while and thought I'd just clarify why. I've been able to juggle posting these updates with working from home. However in the last week or two, the current climate has made work a lot busier and I now get considerably less time to even play, let alone write. I'm still at the end of November and the plan is now to review half a season at a time, so I'll take it to game 19 and review the season so far and then review the rest of the season when it's over. I'd hoped to be able to get something good going with this but just as it was getting really good, I've become far too busy to keep posting monthly updates on a daily basis. Thank you all as ever for your supportive messages as the story has developed and for reading the updates. You guys have made it all worth it.

I had wondered at the start of the season if we ought to be consolidating in mid-table. I was wrong. This team has been absolutely magnificent and have completely blown my expectations out of the water. 3rd at 5pm on Boxing Day, with a cushion starting to build over those outside the top 4. If we fall away and finish in a Europa League spot, so be it. Bring it on. I'd have bitten your arms off for European qualification in any form at the start of the season, so to be in such a convincing position to qualify for the Champions League is an absolute delight. I had hoped Brentford would join us in kicking on this year, but it would seem we are likely to be all that's left of the Class of 2020 by the end of the season.


He often does a very understated job in front of the back four, but this time the Yorkshire Pirlo's quality has been extremely telling. As well as being a dominant force in the midfield, Kalvin Phillips has also added quality dead balls to his game and has assisted four goals from set pieces since the start of November. His absence for the Man Utd game (through suspension) was clear to see and we just weren't the same without him. For all he's contributed since I started, it's about time Leeds' golden boy finally got some much deserved recognition.



That's all for now folks. You may notice that the 'In Other News' section is missing, it got tiring to grab updates from all the other competitions. I may do a run down at the end of the season on each competition like I usually do, but I've decided the story needs to take a more Leeds-centric turn. It's been good to be back.

Flying! You have certainly learnt from last season and now find yourself in a terrific position heading into the New Year. The next run of games will be telling as to whether you can hold on or not. A big window approaches.

You've really set yourself up for success there by creating a nice gap between yourself and fifth place!

Absolutely excellent this season so far. November in particular is a magnificent month to beat Liverpool and get points against City and Leicester is brilliant. January will be interesting to see if you make any additions to a side that is already overachieving.

We're progressively looking like stronger candidates for a European spot as the season rumbles on. Man City's slip up in form means we may even still have an outside shot at the title, but we have to play both them an Man Utd in that time. Just keep doing what we've been doing and we'll be fine. Brentford on the other hand, after having a flying start to life in the Premier League last year, are making an absolute arse of their second season and look to be down and out already, 13 points adrift of saftey with 13 games to go.


This award seems to be like busses for Kalvin Phillips, he gets none for two-and-a-half years before two show up together. The Yorkshire Pirlo has been a driving force behind the games that we've won over the past month and has even shown a goalscoring touch to notch a couple for himself. When he's on his game, there's no one quite like him and he's going to play a pivotal role to our run-in this season.
