Bournemouth (H) Predicted Points 3
Schar back into the starting lineup due to a minor injury to Lascelles. Should be available for the next game against brighton.
20 minutes in ASM has a freekick in the wide area the cross swings into the back post, it falls perfectly for Joelinton but the goal is ruled out for offside.
25 minutes ASM with another freekick in a similar place, it’s placed at the back post again, this time it falls for Schar who puts it in the back of the net 1 - 0.
31 minutes Adam Smith cuts inside with enough space to take the shot but its wide of the mark.
55 minutes gone and a few half chances for Jolinton who heads it above the crossbar and ASM who hits it high and wide.
75 minutes and more chances fell to Newcastle this time Jolinton with an even better chance but hit it wide. Almiron also had a chance but was unable to hit the mark.
78 minutes I felt its was coming, especially with the number of chances we were having, totally against the run of play, Wilson found the space he needed to get the ball to Almada who placed the ball low into the far corner. 1 - 1.
Very late in the game 94 minutes Almiron whips the ball into the box towards the back post where he found ASM he puts it into the back of the net 2 -1.
Brighton (A) Predicted Points - 3
Almiron & ASM both injured. Almiron out for 4 - 6 weeks with a torn Pectoral and ASM out with head injury who will be back for the next game against Leicester.
Few changes:
Wuilker Farinez will start today instead of Dubravka
Kiril Despodov replaces the injured ASM
Nuno Tavares starts in place of the injured Almiron
Early stages of play say both sides have little chances in front of goal, Brighton's best effort was hit straight into the arms of Farinez, Newcastle’s best effort was an effort from outside of the area that went over the bar from Nuno Tavares. 20 minutes played.
Lazaro with the ball out wide finds the space to hit an early cross, Jolinton rises highest and is able to bring it goalward with his head. 0 - 1, 37 minutes.
59 minutes in Newcastle corner comes in from Lazaro confusion in the 6 yard box, deflection off Shane Duffy which ends up in the back of the net. 0 - 2.
73 minutes James Justin with the throw to Despodov, Despodov moves the ball through the defensive gap to Jolinton. 0 - 3.
Late flurry of chances for Brighton which are snuffed out by the defence, Gross finds an opportunity to shoot but is later ruled offside. 85 minutes.
From the resulting freekick the ball eventually finds its way to Richie on the wing who switches play to Lazaro. Lazaro played the ball forward to Despodov, it hit first time, 0 - 4.
91st minute and the ball is crossed to Gross from deep, it's headed down into the back of the net 1 - 4.
93rd minute corner to Brighton found Bernard in the middle of the box, headed low into the goal. 2 - 4.
Leicester (H) Predicted Points 0
Dubravka, Lascelles and ASM back into the first team for this one.
11 minutes ASM cuts inside and places the ball into the 6 yard box, Jolinton has to slide to make contact with the ball. 1 - 0.
ASM again on the 23rd minute cuts inside but this time drags it back to Batshuayi who hits it first time into the back of the net. 2 - 0.
Individual effort from Rolan on the 26th minute ends up with a goal. 2 - 1.
39 minutes Longstaff picks out a long ball to James out wide he cuts inside of the 18yard box and forces a save from Schmeichel that goes out for a corner.
47 minutes in (Second Half) ASM cuts inside again causing Leicester problems when he lifts the ball towards the back post where Despodov only needs to guide the ball into the back of the net with his head. 3 - 1.
78th minutes and ASM is forced off the pitch due to injury Toure is his replacement.
Slight rotated squad for the last game of the season
Early into the 1st half and Besic has been sent off. 14 minutes. Almiron from the resulting free kick finds space outside of the box and scores 1 - 0. Nothing else really to report from the 1st half. Toure finds his way inside of the box and puts it on a plate for Gayle, the last ditch tackle stops the attack. From the GK McBurnie has acres of space no one closing him down, a screamer into the top far corner, 1 - 1. 3 changes at 70 minutes, Matt Longstaff, Almiron and Sorensen off for Shelvey, Richie and Batshuayi. Gayle has another similar chance from close range thanks to Lazaro 2 - 1.
League Table 1st October 2020
We are one of only 2 teams that have yet faced defeat this season however we have had an easy start to the season other than Liverpool and Leicester.
Cardiff are you to get a single point this season.
Watford have struggled in the early stage so far also however 1 win and you would be applying pressure to the team above.
Sheffield Wednesday are slightly better off in that 1 win would most likely guide them out of the bottom 3 but its still incredibly tight at the bottom.
October Schedule
Some more winnable games this month Fulham should be an easy win, Wolves & Norwich are going to be more difficult but if we play as well as we did in the Leicester Win then we can win those games too.
The Chelsea game will be the most difficult this month, I would be happy with a draw here but realistically I am expecting to lose this one.
9 / 12 would be fantastic at this point in the season
