FM Editor no changes being made to database

I downloaded some updates off FM Scout but when I go into the documents, sports interactive, football manager, editor data folder on the editor, they're not appearing there. I keep trying to solve the issue but nothing seems to be working. I downloaded the fake teams fix file and since then I notice, I'm unable to locate the files in the editor. I can however see the files when I load a new game.
