Hi guys!

I am MLR, and I am currently new to the FM scout comunity. I have decided to write a story about my management in Football Manager 2011.
After many minutes of thinking, I have decided to manage Scottish giants Celtic! This will be a big challenge for me.

The expectation by the board is to win the league. They gave me no other choice, but I would have chosen that anyway.

So, my first Football Manager story is up and running!

P.S. How can I add screenshots to my posts?
Hi MLR, welcome aboard :D

I'm hoping with all the manager stories coming up, we can all debate in a more productive way about the tactical approach, the transfers system, the players and look into various other bits and pieces... ultimately helping out everyone involved become a better manager.

There are 2 ways of adding screenshots to your posts.
  • You can use "My files" to manage your uploaded files on the site. And when writing a forum post, there is a link below the text area with that name, clicking it will appear a popup with your personal file space. You can organize your files in folders if you want to, or just upload them straight away. You will be able to re-organize them at any time there.
  • The other way is to use a free image hosting service like imageshack or flickr (requires a free account there, but it's awesome). When you upload your pictures there, you will be provided with bbcode to paste in your posts for each one.

I should write up a proper guide soon, including all the helpful hints and tips on how you can write a story and a basic checklist to go through.
I think its going to be intresting because to be honest I never played Scotish league and I think I am going to read it.
Boooooooooooooo. lol good luck, should be good read :P

Celtic – Squad Analysis

Goalkeepers

Two average keepers here, but not really SPL champion standard. A new keeper will be bought.

Defenders
The leader of the line is undoubtedly Daniel Majstorovic.

I am happy with my defence to be honest.

Midfielders
I have to single out Scott Brown.

I may have to purchase another midfielder, maybe to provide some competition for Brown.

Strikers:
The best striker is Gary Hooper.

Again, I may have to buy another striker to stregnthen the attacking line.

To conclude, I will make only a few changes to my squad. Too many changes will mean disruption in the squad, and only a few changes are needed to hopefully win the SPL.
Nice going mate but for screenshots I would recommend ImageShack because some people dont have yahoo account like me and cant see the screenshots.
ImageShack links have been added.
Players with good attributes.
Without viewing all the first team squad i can't tell any opinion.. :( Perhaps an image of the whole squad would help!
@MLR:
I have edited your post with the image link. I used the code that imageshack provides for direct link, and pasted that piece using the image icon here. Try to edit that post to see how it works now.
I've also removed the flicr links because you have set your profile to be private, so we can't see them.

Today I will show you my squad and the results of my pre-season frendlies.
Pre-season matches:

I am pretty satisfied to be honest. At the start, we had a problem because my team wasn’t blending well at all. But then, the team got to know each other and started scoring for fun.
I was most pleased with the first leg of Champions Cup qualifying against Dynamo Kiev (Kyiv):

A great performance from my team!
Now, I will show you the full squad:

If you have sharp eyes, you may have noticed some new signings. They will be revealed in more detail in my next post!
Great read so far...really enjoying it!

Check out mine at United: The story of how a young Mexican boy saved United...
I tried an FM 11 demo season as Celtic and I found it unusually hard for a scotish team, this is probably due to the amount of changes over the summer to key areas and the need to revamp.
Summer transfers will be revealed today.

Transfers that I have done in the summer are:

Five players were bought. They are:

Tom Cairney is a fantastic prospect. He can be as good as Fabregas or Gerrard in my opinion! He will compete against Scott Brown for a starting place.

Old, experienced keeper Dida will be a steady last line for me. He lacks physical attributes, but makes up for it technically.

Another old, experienced player. He is good in the air but lacks pace. He will be a rotation player for me, with Giorgios Samaras, as a target man.

My main signing! This guy is in the team from the start, and could become the best in the world in a few years! Only his stamina is his weak point.

Bamba is a backup player. His attributes are very average.
Nice signings mate :)
