Im arsenal, obviously they have a under 18 team, and when players are in there they cannot train fully. as soon as they hit 17 they can sign a pro contract and can do full training, isit advisable to take my players outter the under 18s at 17 and stick them in the reserves. or would they effect there growth? cause its to much work or summmin?

It's not just training that helps players improve it is matches also. Sticking your player in the reserves with players that are 10 times better than him means he won't get a game.
I use a training called '
Tug Training' and have no Youth Team coaches which means my 7 stars coaches have to train them.
My under 18's seem to improve enough.
if you got good youth players with a good potential those are the ones you should give more time with tutoring and at a reasonable age loaning them out and putting them in the reserves, and maybe at times give them a chance in a cup game or something.
the trainings that ground_fold posted are really good.
if you got good coaches then most of your youngsters will most probably reach their potential.
but you dont want to make everysingle one of your youth player reach their potential.
i just look at those who have good potential, if they got around 135+ in potential ability then those are the ones i will care about. because those can bring u in some money later on, they might be helpful as back up for your team after a few years. or might become good players for your team.
This is along the same lines, so I thought I'd post it here..
I always find a lot of cheap youngsters in South America, but can't get work permits for them. So if I send them to an affiliate to gain EU nationality will they still reach their potential? It's just that my affiliate is a small team, who don't have good youth facilities.

dont know, how can u sign a youngster from south america? i mean i cant get them even though they might be without work permit.
i never send my youngsters to feeder clubs though.
Same as you'd sign anyone else, but if they don't have a work permit they can't play so must be loaned out to someone until they gain EU nationality. Maybe it only lets you do this if you have an affiliate for avoiding work permit regulations? I've just bought a 17 yr old brazilian defender for £1k, just as a test. His tackling is already 19 so at the least I should make a tidy profit..
It takes 3 yrs though so if anyone knows whether he'll reach his potential that'd be great as I have my eye on a few more. It's all about building for the future!

i dont get it, i cant sign them? i mean they might accept ur offer but they wont get a work permit to even come to ur club. so how can they come to ur club witout a work permit?
I get a news item saying "'the players' application for a work permit for his move to 'my club' has been turned down. He will be unable to play but can be loaned out to another club in the meantime.' I then get the usual choice to complete, delay or cancel the transfer.
Maybe it depends on what club and country you're in, or if you have an affiliate to send these players to?
hmm, i never have got that. but then again i usually play with lower league teams and they dont have affiliates etc.
thnx that explains alot.

It's definitely all about giving them enough pitch time.
Snap the good ones onto a full Pro Contract and get them training on a medium to heavy aerobic & first touch regime for their physical stats as well as basic technical abilities.
Get them into your first team wherever you can and trust them.
If you want these to be your world beaters and leaders of your team in 2-3 years, you need to stick with them.
Alternatively, just buy Pablo Piatti as soon as the game starts and put him in the whole behind the strikers (AMC) and let him wreak havoc in opposition defenses.
Also, when signing the wee ones, don't always concentrate just on technical stats.
Obviously they need at least a few decent figures technically, but a player with good mental & physical stats will develop and cope with first team football better than one one with purely technical.
Look for good Natural Fitness, Determination & Technique.
The rest is a bonus.
