i'm having some problems with the CA/PA. in the editor no one has a PA lower than 160. when i start a new game and load it with fmrte there are players with a PA lower than 160...any ideas??



the real problem is with just the last 3 players, but take stam as an example. in the editor he has 195 and when i start the game he has 182. 182 is not very bad....but it's not 195.i'm thinking of starting from zero.
Did you merge any databases?

I edited a couple of things then merged a database and everything went fubar.

no. it's not because fmrte. i used the game editor. fmrte is just for checking the CA/PA after i start a new game.

is it not because you're trying to force impossible stats for that PA and CA?

the way you requested stats for this you have a lot of 20's and stuff over 15. the only way to get those stats to stick is by setting PA and CA both to 200 with those stats. if you set PA as 200, then CA as say 130, those stats you put in the editor usually get changed to make it work (everything goes down). now that you've decided to allocate more PA to people with more posts you've somewhat rendered the whole asking for stats thing a bit pointless because certain stats like flair or the physical stats carry a much higher cost to ability than the technical stats do. so for someone like me who has been allocated the lower tier PA and subsequent CA, but chose fairly strong physical stats, its not going to work. if i do get the stats such as pace and flair to stay, the technicals will all usually end up at like 9.

its probably because the attributes dont add up to the CA, try raising some of the attributes for players to get them closer to their CA, as for why PA would go down I have no idea.

i've done it in the past the same way i did it now and it worked. i think i might have missed something. anyway, i'll try again tmrw.i'll delete the db and do it all over again..

try setting everyone to PA 200, then base the CA on post number.

that way people who have contributed more have a player that is closer to the end stats, those like me have a long way to go to reach their potential. but you should still have enough PA so the end stats stick (or get as close as the engine allows)
and what do i do with the players over 30(we have such men) but few posts)??
I don't think that would work tbh there as got to be a way around it without disregarding post count, otherwise that would be slightly unfair, I would say try the database again

you scrap the idea that post count gets you more PA (which is slightly childish tbh as it turns the entire thing into an e-popularity contest), and set everyone to 200/200 and the stats are then representative of what they filled out on the form to begin with.

there's no way someone with CA of 130 is going to have stats in the 20's, let alone the 5 we chose, or even 5 in the 17+ range etc. the way around it would simply be set the PA by post count and leave all the stats random and it can work itself out around those. set the positions and other info requested and let the game sort the rest out.
