most of the players will be crappy if i let a random CA and let's face it, everyone registered would want to beat all the teams in the premier league. and the older players will not reach the full potential. i somehow agree with you about the childish part but i need to have some sort of control over the PA; it only seems fair...the more you post,the more you're usefull to the community... the better you are in the game afterall the db is made for you... and of course, you can edit yourself after the db is released.

probaly next year i'll ask everyone to send me a short film of themselfs playing football...that should be the right thing to do

could it be set so for example the guys with the biggest posts get a choice to select 10 top tier stats, next band 8, next band 5, lowest band 3. so me for example has the choice to allocate 3 stats with a value up to 20. someone like yourself can cherry pick 10 for up to 20.

set your CA by age as you did, set PA to a fixed number globally. with a high PA of 190-200 you're still going to end up, even with random stats, a player that will do very well in the premiership whilst removing any bias. also you're still not guaranteed to be very good with a PA of 200. if you have 20's for all the physicals you pretty much use up all the PA, so you have terrible mentals and technique and end up being terrible. all the stats you couldn't choose are randomly allocated.

im not sure why im so fixated on this now, i was just wanting to read the blog! perhaps watch some youtube highlights of matches. guess it gets my post count up for next year

Well these are just concepts for next year, now if the intrest again is there again, we will do another one, to be honest I think videos is a bit wtf!!! but thats me anyway good luck on getting the database finished sun

@godsgifttoearth....this idea is better than you're last one...but as barmy said, maybe next year. now there is no time to start gathering new profiles. besides, i think i know what the problem was

I like the video idea, though I would probably get a negative ability, as I can barely touch a ball without tripping over it.. I also agree it would be best to just set the PA to a high number and then CA to age. But 10 stats at 20 for the to posters? isn't that a bit too much?

so far so good with the CA/PA...i think it's going to work

i quit the "minus" system and adopted the 3 number PA. the CA will be based on the DOB.the lowest PA will be 175 and the highest 195

Hmm yes, I think most players would be kind of disappointed if their player is barely good enough to play in the championship I even have some 120 PA players in my BSN team

i was thinking of random...you can sign the coaches, assistant man, scouts, physio. the club has 7500 rep and state of the art training facility so you can attract more than decent staff
