GS and (Epic) FM 20.4.4: Game data not found

Using the free Epic FM (v. 20.4.4). Downloaded the Genie Scout 2020 v1.1 20.4.4.
Tried running GS as administrator as well.

Getting the infamous "Your game data is not found".

Should I change the General section in Options?
Using the following:
User Data Directory: C:\Games\FootballManager2020\data
Saved Games Directory: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\games
Shortlists Directory: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\shortlists

(tried different variations of those)

Sorry to ask the obvious but do you have the save game loaded up on FM when you try load it on Genie Scout?

I'm having the same problem.

FM version - 20.4.4-1442341 (m.e v2040)
GS version - 1.1 20.4.4

The save game is loaded, but I get the "Game data not found" error when I try and load my saved game into GS.

I swear I've tried it at least on 3 different occasions. Just out of the blue, it started working

I'm again having this problem, following an update from Epic. It was previously solved by the 'hotfix' version 1.1 20.4.2, but now this version doesn't work.

No idea what the Epic update was, but it seemed to be substantial. This really isn't going to be practical if GS is going to need updating all the time.

Unfortunately, Epic probably made some changes in the last two days. The above bug on version 20.4.4 has reappeared.
Both the game and Genie Scout are in good version and the message pops up "Your game data is not found".
As recently as 10-07-2021 everything was working properly
