Need help from researchers regarding new added info in the Editor

There is a new things added to the Editor called 'Peak Current Ability' and 'Peak Potential Ability'. I am wondering what that does to potential. For example, Swedish GK Tim Rönning(Great Pickup BTW) has 155 PA but his PPA is only 125. I am worried that I have to start over if I start to Edit players now if it turns out to be fucky
