# Seph : If you want my advice this tactic is not for both Home and Away games and also needs some fixes.. :) In my opinion you can't play with target man when there are no wingers even if your wing backs are instructed to full attack! so i suggest you playing with poachers keeping the ball down and trying to break up with killer balls!

Moreover, an Anchor man is useless to the productive part of your game and should be used when you have to mark Steven Gerrard etc. ;) Change it to Defensive Midfielder (Defence) and your Deep Lying Midfielder to Central Midfielder (Normal/Def)

For further advice feel free to ask! :D
Hi Seph,
Thank you very much for offering me help. :)

Since the first proper game of fm 2010 I've been using 4-1-2-1-2 for many games with some role changes. But later on for some games I changed for wider 4-3-3 and had good success on it.But I'm reluctant to use wingers here because it's harder to find good English wingers for decent prices/wages.May be I would use wingers when we are competing in Europe :D

Transfers: Splash in Cash

When looking back at the players bought at the start of the season some of them has done pretty well. But the major flop was the French striker Wilfried Niflore.Despite having more than decent stats to be among the top scorers in the championship, his return was 2 goals in more than 20 appearances.

So basically, I was looking for a striker with goals.Buying Domestic talent being a priority it was pretty hard to find a striker meeting my requirements. On the back of my mind I had a talented, young player, unsure of whether he'll jump ship for a club of our stature.Somehow I sent my one of my scouts to get a report and Voilà! He's Extremely interested in joining Leicester City.Dubbed as the next Alan Shearer, he's non other than Connor Wickham (I sound too excited eh?)

With a good transfer budget remaining, I didn't hesitate to splash out 4m on him.

A Tale of Two Halves : Rising Foxes

The year 2011's start was a good one.An away victory against the Promotion contenders Hull. But that followed by a heartbreaking away defeat against Portsmouth.

Unimpressive Result/s : vs Portsmouth (npower Championship)

But the next match was the season changing match I would say.Being a goal down inside a minute, the boys scored a whopping 5 goals to win the match against Reading. What a comeback !!

Impressive Result/s : vs Reading (npower Championship)

With a series of back to back wins Leicester City looks on the way for promotion.

I think 4M was a bit too much for Wickham at the age of 17. I hope you can prove me wrong, but I can't see his development for the next few years to see any dramatic rise... unless you risk giving him plenty of first team play. He's in need of a good tutor as well.

A Tale of Two Halves : Stuff of Champions

The latter period of the season went very well to my likening.Out of 13 matches played only lost one & drew two, where the defeat came against Fulham in the Fa Cup 6th Round. The pick of the lot was the 3-0 win against Cardiff who eventually got promoted. The other one was the last match of the season against Swansea, a thrilling 4-3 win.

Impressive Result/s : vs Cardiff City (npower Championship)

End of the Season League Table & Awards

To be honest I didn't expect to win the league halfway of the season. But, after a series of great results we've achieved promotion in style.

As we were struggling at the start and the goals were not coming, non of our players were able to get on to the top three scorers.

Award : Top Goalscorer 2010-2011

It is obvious that the championship winning team's manager will get the Manager of the year award. Hopefully, first of many to come.
