Can't break a shocking run

So, I am now into my second season as Albion Rovers in Scottish League 2. Probably one of the lowest rated and lowest budget in the game. Always looked for their results for some reason though and fancied a challenge.

In the first season I was in the play off spots for most the season. I then hit a bad run towards the end of the season and ended up finishing 8th. New season has started and no matter what I try I can't get a win. Drawn 4 and lost 1 in the first 5.

I seem to concede 3/4 a game regardless of if I go defensive or not. These are the tactics I was using (successfully) up until the bad run hit:



Does anyone have any experience of a successful game with a low ranked team like this and have any advice on tactics or otherwise?

Thats an open attacking tactic.

I find that in the lower leagues ( i started off as Queen of the South ranked 9th in the S Championship) get a striker who is a good target man with an Attacking Mid on attack duty to pick up the second balls.

In defence lower your line of engagement, do not play offside, Defend Narrow. I like 2 centre backs with one as a stopper ( best in the air ) and one as cover ( Pace, Decision making and Positioning are good attributes here )

Try 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 and go route one if you can find a good target man ( for the league )

With a good target man you will score some decent amount of goals from corners if you aim them for the near post and have TM attack the near post.
