Can't Get Players Back from Vacation During a Competition Game

Hi - I can't seem to figure out how to get my players from vacation back to an Asian Champions League game.

I am currently playing as a team in the Australian A-League & my team has gone away on a normal vacation period. Only problem is that an Asian Champions League has been scheduled during that vacation period.

Anyone know how to bring them back early?

I have tried looking at scheduling a friendly before the game but it won't let me schedule till a month after the game.

Could not figure out how to do it so I just went on vacation past the game. Funnily enough the match stats show my first team players did in fact participate in the game when you vacation past the game. Would have preferred to play the game as a manager rather than take a holiday.

So manually participating forces you to play with unknown low rated players but vacationing past the game will simulate with your first team.
