Welcome to my main save on FM22 where hopefully we can take Bath City FC from all the way down in the National League South and progress to the Premier League where hopefully we can become a real fighting force in England, and at the same time try and conquer Europe just like the Romans did (well most of it anyway).

Its going to be a tough battle and could take a good few years (FM years) to turn Bath City FC from Semi-Pro to Kings of England/Europe.

Below is some info about Bath City FC:

Bath City Football Club is a semi-professional association football club based in Bath, Somerset, England. Formed in 1889 as Bath AFC, the club is affiliated to the Somerset FA and currently compete in the National League South, English football's sixth tier.

They play their home matches at Twerton Park, wear black and white striped shirts, black shorts, and white socks and are traditionally called "The Romans" or ‘The Stripes".

Bath City's history is entirely in non-league football, missing out on election to the Football League by a few votes in 1978 and again in 1985.

So let’s march on together and take our first steps in to this Roman City.
Meet Ole Gunnar Smith.

Finances don't look pretty, so a cup run is defo needed to inject some extra income.
Squad is looking a bit thin, but hopefully with the right recruitment we can improve it. Also when I play FM I always turn off the first transfer window to keep it more real but with teams in this league I will be able to buy players from Sept 2nd. Hopefully that gives me a few weeks to see who is available on a free or loan (with no costs)

I'll fast forward to the first game of season, so I'll see you guys there.

If any1 has any ideas/tips please don't hesitate to drop a comment.

Our upcoming fixtures for pre season, and a big first game of the season against Billericay Town.
What a pre-season. 7 games 7 wins, yes I know its all about fitness, but winning brings confidence ;). Hopefully we can carry this form into our first game of the season. We played 2 teams who are actually in the division above and gave one of them a good hiding.

I am hoping Cody Cooke carry his pre-season form into the new season, he just scored 12 goals from 5 games starting and 2 sub appearances. He might just be the forward we need to score 20+ goals for us.

Annoying aswell our pre-season form didn't go unnoticed, some bigger clubs sniffing around. Tom smith!!!

August! What a start to the season. Didn't play great in the first game of the season but its nice to get a point on the table. We needed an 83rd min goal from Mo Touray to grab us that point.

Against Tonbridge again we needed a late goal, well a couple tbf to grab us all the points. I was surprised it took us so long to grab the win as we dominated all over the pitch. XG 1.83 16 shots and 11 on target. Cody Cooke also got his first goal of the season.

3rd game of the season and I asked the lads to start strong and that exactly what we did. Again Cody Cooke was on target after 7 mins. He then got his and our 2nd goal of the match after 36 mins. 2-0 HT. Chelmsford did pull a goal back, but all we needed was bit of encouragement and Alex Fletcher scored in the 70th to seal the game for us.

4th and final game of the month we took on Oxford City, in a pretty even match where both teams were threatening. We finally grabbed all 3 points when that man again Cody Cooke scored his 4th goal of the season and 3rd game in a row. He scored just after the hour mark, but praise has to go to the back 4 and the GK. all ratings over 7+ and helped us claim the points and a 1st clean sheet of the season.

So here is how the table looks after the first month.

Also come September we will be able to buy/loan some players, which we badly need.

See you next month.

UP THE ROMANS!

WHAT A MONTH! 16 GOALS SCORED, ONLY 4 CONCEDED. INTO THE NEXT ROUND OF THE FA CUP. SOMEBODY PINCH ME!!??

What a start to our short career at Bath City FC. We are really starting to boss these games and we seem to be scoring for fun. (now i've jinxed it).

Lets start off with Dartford, a team which was supposed to be challenging for promotion we dispatched them easily. We had 26 shots in this game. 26!! 12 which were on target and an XG 2.73. We started the scoring just after the 40th min mark that man again CODY COOKE. 1-0 at HT, just after the break we grabbed a second 2-0 Mo Touray and the icing on the cake CODY COOKE getting his 2 and our 3rd 74th min. The game ended 3-0 but believe me it could have been a lot more. Possesion wise 62%, pretty good for these standard of teams.

2nd game of the month we were away against Braintree. We started brightly and a smart finish from Elliott Frear got us off to a perfect start after 8 mins. We then doubled our lead in the 35th min again CODY COOKE scoring. The man is on fire. Maybe we should use that 'Will Grigg' song on CODY COOKE!? Ha. 2-0 HT and making it 2/2 for the month. 2nd half begins and again a bright start from the Romans, Elliott Frear making it 3-0 after 56th min. They got a goal back after the 62nd min, but we scored again and hopefully can finally put this game to bed, CODY COOKE scoring in the 70th for his 2nd and our 4th. They grabbed a late goal to make it 4-2 but we were never really worried about them scoring a few more. 2/2 for the month, now an FA Cup game.

Not really much to say about this game 6-0, dominated from start to finish. Goals from Mo Touray x2, Elliott Frear, Jack Batten and the main man getting another brace CODY COOKE x2. Only a matter of time before he nets a hat trick. Into the hat we go. Our objective this season is to reach the 1st round proper so hopefully we can continue this fine run. 3/3 for the Month.

4th and final game of the month and probably one the hardest teams we have faced so far, I believe they came down from the National League last year, so have some good players for this level. And I have to say the score line flatters them, we had 23 shots and 13 on target this game but we just weren't clinical enough. Cody Cooke for once not getting on the score line, maybe he has ran out of juice for the month. We defo need some signings to help this small squad. We took the lead after 16 mins Mo Touray grabbing another for the season 1-0. They equalised 10 mins later through J.Barham and set up by ex Arsenal Gavin Hoyte. I gave the team a bit off 'DEMAND MORE' from the touchline and it seemed to do the trick. We upped the temp and struck twice more before HT. Alex fletcher and Elliot Frear grabbing the goals. 3-1 HT. Looking good for the Romans. Bit of a dull 20 min period nothing really happening, then a counter from the away team and a good finish made it 3-2. Starting to panic here as we kept missing good opportunities. Our XG was only 1.64, so we defo have to practise more on the training ground. With chances at both ends neither team could grab the late goal. We parked the bus and just kept doing a Blackburn and smashing it long, and we held out for a 3-2 win. Well done boys.

So after 7 games WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE AND DESERVE TO BE HERE. Played 7, Won 6 and Drawn 1. 18 scored and 8 against. 19 points.

We defo have a few things to work on, but just take it one game at a time and keep improving.

Onto signings its be a challenge lets say, we don't have much of a budget and keep getting out bid with contracts. And some players really do take the piss at this level, so I back out and look else where. We did manage to get 3 players in, and the budget is all gone, so maybe ill keep looking at free loan deals.

In October we got 7 games so fitness and rest is needed, and squad rotation to keep everything fresh. Fingers crossed we can keep this impressive form going.

Oh and we got Enfield Town in the next round of the FA Cup.

See you soon.

COME ON YOU ROMANS!!!
CODY COOKE POTM. Get in. He is already near that 20 goal target I set him.

Plus here is a look at our 3 new signings.
