Problem with Subs

Currently managing Ajax and made it to round of 16 in ECC.

My first leg against Atletico Madrid, I had used 3 subs up until the 75th minute and went to make my 4th sub and was not allowed as I had used all my subs (3). Meanwhile Atletico was allowed to make 5 substitutions!

Has anyone else ever run into this and is there a fix?

The rule is 5 subs over 3 stoppages. Once you’ve made 3 stoppages, you can no longer make anymore subs, even if you’ve still got 1 or 2 subs remaining.

I guess the "fix" was to read the rules in competitions.

As far as I know it's only in the first season you can use up to 5 subs in the ECC.
