Hello scouters!
It's time for me to take on a massive challenge. I've decided to go for Glory Hunter.
The rules are simple. I have 20 years to win these trophies:
That's 16 trophies in total, so need to average almost a trophy a season to get there. Honestly, winning the biggest leagues shouldn't be too difficult, given the strength of the biggest teams in those leagues.
BUT - and it's a big but - I have to wait for those jobs to come up. And in the meantime, I have to make sure I mop up all the trophies in a country while I'm there to reduce my need to go back. And moreover again, I have to make sure I catch the pesky Conference League and Europa League.
So with lots of trophies to win, where to start? My beloved Tottenham Hotspur of course. Haven't won a trophy in 15 years now, and that was the league cup. But I'm not going to let that stop me.
In all seriousness, though it's a big challenge, there are a few advantages to starting with Spurs. First, they are in the Conference League this season, and it's going to be tricky to get that one ticked off without taking a big step down later on. I'm hoping to get that wrapped up early on.
Second, the English League has the most trophies to capture due to the League Cup + FA Cup duo. If I can get one of those early, it'll make my life easier later, even if I have to come back and take on a dominant club here later.
So strap in, add a bookmark to your browser. This should be a fun one.
