FMSE 22 Editor not saving changes?

I am trying to change the registration to fix a mistake I made, and after ticking the box "allow squad registration anytime" and hitting "save" change is not taking effect in game even after advancing.

I tried to send email to support but apparently the address is dead (they'll still take your $ though for the editor, even with no support.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Followup:
I did a test. I changed a players attribute and I changed the registration to allow anytime. Then I hit save and went in game and advanced to next day.
Result: the players attribute was changed, but the registration still did not allow me to make changes. it still showed up as "test only".
