I'll just list a few of mine:
- when you are giving assignments to your scouts, and you have the possibility to scout the whole world, I would REALLY like to see that HUGE list of available countries divided per continents, because it is very annoying having to scroll through the whole list just to get to Russia, or Ukraine or...Yemen, whatever.
- manager promises part of the game REALLY needs improving, too many bugs.
- WHY, oh why, did SI decide to merge news and mail into one inbox!?
- possibility to select whether I want a player to be automatically added to my shortlist just because I sent a scout to fetch me player report card. Maybe it is there, I'm just not able to find it anywhere.
- more interaction with the fans.
- more possibilities for team talks.

Just a couple I can think of ATM.
i wish fm 12 will be developed with some RL pro managers and players, as a semi pro myself, there are so many "stupid" mistakes in 2011 that clearly whould have been prevented if some RL players/managers was in the developing team.

commands during a game, in 2011 we can tell our players to chill but we cant tell them to give 10% more or tell em to fight harder for last few feets, witch is 2 very importent commands to have as a manager.

trowins near the backline. 2011 forces all players that do a trowin close to backline to trow the ball longside the backline intro the heads of 4-6 defenders even if he got more than 3 teammates free next to him, unless he got good skills in "longtrowins". they should be able to trow short to a free teammate.

get rid of tv mode and give texted games only, the grafik lacks in so many areas that it is impossible to jugde how good a players does in a match, witch is essential to a managers work. well make it 100% perfect(so we can see players face expression how they place thier legs compared to others, etc, etc) or get rid of it.

many more to come, this was it for today.
I wish you could add history to your manager in what teams he played as a players.

Also even if player ain't intrested to sign to your team you could still offer him a contract.
well if a player is in the club he wants to focus on, spending time on pointless offers will interfear with his training, so to get max out of training it is easyer for the player just to dont look at new offers, so thats fine to me but maby it is just me :p

manager history sounds like a cool ldea. "Liverpool Manager Jacob Juul former amatør player of solrød fc and former semi pro player of køge fc wins the trible" yes yes givf allrdy :)))
Love the idea of sending players to language classes.
I think it should take a sort of LMA idea and be able to design your stadium as well as your training facilities and then if your board have agreed to it you have to pitch it to them and explain why certain features.
what I would really like is more freedom in choosing formation. Ability to move a player on the pitch other than preset positions. Like they have in Fifa manager. Also human manager would be really good. As for the graphics they are okay. if you watch the whole game you do understand how your team is playing.
- The ability to increase STAFF budget.
- Yell to complacent players during game to get better better or get off.
- Scout for specific player role (advanced forward, advanced playmaker support,...)
- Your assistent should give you a list of best players per position. Now he tells you a player is 5th in order for a position but who is 1st, 2nd, 3th, 4th???

There are touchline commands like 'Get Stuck In'. You can also configure if you want the throws to be long or short. Creating the 3D match engine like you described would be ridiculously tasking and unnecessary for a game like this. If you don't want to use the 3D view, then use the 2D view.
I think you should get interview requests from a journalist working for a certain company. They ask you questions about anything and it is laid out like a private chat. Also, SI can make FM more realistic by having controversial issues e.g earlier in the season Danny Murphy criticised Stoke's tackling. Journalists can ask your opinions on issues like this.

e.g

Jonathon Stevenson from BBC Sport has requested an interview. He will ask you questions on your team's recent poor form, and your opinion about the dubious sacking of Sam Allardyce.

I think it depends on the size of your database. :P

WHY, oh why, did SI decide to merge news and mail into one inbox!?
You can filter out stuff you don't want, I think. Though, to be honest, it just makes it much easier for me to get the news...because otherwise I would just ignore the news (in FM10) and miss out on a lot of things. At least, in this version, the news is a little more diverse. I like how they give us clues on which managers are about to get axed. It gives you an option to think about declaring interest in that job.
- possibility to select whether I want a player to be automatically added to my shortlist just because I sent a scout to fetch me player report card. Maybe it is there, I'm just not able to find it anywhere.
This is not possible, but when you get the report in your inbox, you can right-click on the player's name, go to Scouting and click on Remove from shortlist.
- more interaction with the fans.
- more possibilities for team talks.
These 2 are interesting. Why would we need more interaction with fans?

@ ztrexx
You can yell a lot of commands during the game in the TV mode.

You can also set your throw-in tactics under Team Instructions>>Advanced. I have set mine to always throw short in order to keep possession, for example.

TV mode is really good. Although the graphics are not very good, you can still tell whether or not your tactics are making any difference. For example, in two consecutive matches, if you change your tactics, you will DEFINITELY be able to see the changes in the TV mode. I think maybe you just haven't been playing the game for long enough or maybe you haven't really been playing it in TV mode long enough. I'll admit that it takes a little bit of getting used to before you can tell whether or not your tactics are working.

@ rywilson
Language classes is a brilliant idea, dude. I would totally do that to increase the speed of blending in.

@ redalert
Agree 100% with you. I somehow sometimes find the lack of freedom in positioning a little off-putting. Actually, the positioning doesn't matter so much if you set the individual tactics in terms of attacking mentality and role/duty. But it would just be nicer to be able to SEE the positions.

@ gert78
The inability to increase staff max wage is a PITA! If they cannot do that, they should at least have importance levels for staff. I lost an excellent Attacking coach because I couldn't offer him more money. And from the looks of it, this season, I think I'm going to lose my Assistant Manager too :( :(

Here's a list of my wishes:

  • More realism in terms of form. Sometimes, some players lost form in real life and almost leave a club, but then after some time they come back really good. For example, Nani and Anderson. There should be something like that in the game which simulates a player losing morale and dropping his performance and coming and talking to you. Right now, though we have a morale system in place, I don't know how much it affects the match performance.
  • Ability to tell a player that he's impressed you in training. Right now, I can only tell a player that he needs to put in more effort in training.
  • Ability to talk to your staff (to get them to like you and make you favoured personnel).
I have been playing FM since FM2008. In this long run, there are few things I still didn't get. But to be honest, FM2011 has fulfilled almost every expectation. However, in FM2012, there should be "Play Advantage" included, as I think it is really important. I've played FIFA, they have included Play Advantage since FIFA2009 (I am not sure, may be before that). So, I want FM to be pioneer of football gaming.
hm I wish that there is somekind of bar or some in stadiums and wenn my team lose so i can drunk myself :D
