I played fm last night, saved and exited, as you do, opened up FM today and my save game has just vanished into thin air, files no longer exist, does anyone know a way of getting them back? Or what could cause this? I remember this being an issue on every FM game, I know of someone it has happened with, surely they must be able to fix this in some regard?
Have you manually checked if they’re in the documents folder? If so and they’re not there, check your Recycle Bin or use the search function on your PC to see if it’s still there. Computer files usually don’t just delete themselves unless something utterly bizarre is happening.
Keep in mind that sometimes the ‘Load Last Save Game’ (or whatever it’s called) feature on the FM menu bugs out but save files would be accessible through the regular Load Game option. Just make sure when doing this that the folder it’s looking in is the correct one (drop down at top of pop-out window).
