This tactic is probably the best I've ever created. When I started with it I had no prizes won, while at the end of FM 22 just before FM 23 got released I had won 16 trophies with Woking, which I had guided to the Prem all the way from the National League.
Why did it work so well? Because it perfectly balanced a lot of movement in the squad with defensive stability. My defensive midfielder joined the defense as a half back in the build up. The wing backs would cut inside to act as playmakers as well as a defensive shield. My central midfielder would make runs into deep as a mezzala. The wingers and the nr. 10 would move around my strong Deep Lying Forward to create a powerful dynamic that pulled teams apart.
However in FM23 the build up just doesn't seem to work for me. The inverted wing backs cut inside way too late, even though the instructions haven't changed. This had lead to a massive gap between midfield and attack. I lose the ball in those areas way too often and concede goals as a result. I tried to solve it by playing with a DLP that stays more in position. That has worked a bit.
But I would like to know if you guys have tips to make sure my IWB cut inside as soon as the GK restarts play and not when the ball is already kicked long. Thanks in advance
