Hi everyone,
Since the update, my goalscoring with my Bologna team (2028) has really struggled. For the last few years, we've always been one of the highest goalscorers' in the league, but this season we just can't put the ball in the back of the net.
We go through phases - two or three games where we'll win 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 and then 5 games where we just can't score for the life of us.
Our numbers are good, generally we average about 10 shots a game, and our xG is often well over 1. But, we end up with only 2 or three shots on target. This isn't what it used to be like, with pretty much the same players. Often we will get 1 on 1s and my strikers are taking one two many touches for firing straight at the goalkeeper when there's not real reason too...
I also seem to feel that most of our shots are getting blocked by defenders (maybe why they're not registering on target) but it almost looks like our players are being forced onto their slightly weaker foots and having to take an extra touch before getting the shot away.
So does anyone have any extra tips for improving conversion? I regularly use work ball into box as not having that instruction seems to result in my players taking stupid long shots all the time. I often train chance conversion too to try and help but I feel this is becoming slightly less effective.
Thanks!
