I've been working on the Royal League a couple of times, but I need help to get som troubleshooting right.
I wanted to create the tournament with the 6 cupwinners from:
Denmark
Sweden
Norway
Finland
Iceland
Faroe Islands
and this amount of teams from the leagues:
Denmark, Norway and Sweden 5 from each.
Finland and Iceland 4 from each,
3 from Faroe Islands.
A total number of 32 teams.
The tournament should be played every year in january in Spain og Portugal.
I have a dream to start the tournament with an initial round where the teams are mixed so that no one meets a team from the same nation.
From this round, the winners qualify for a group stage with four teams in each.
The losers instead qualify for a "loser" tournament, in the same format as the winners.
Two parallel tournaments are thus created.
In the group stage, each team is played once, and only the group winners advance to the semi-finals, which are played over one match.
Ending with a bronze match and a final match.
I imagine that the tournament can start on the first Saturday in January with matches on Saturday/Sunday and Tuesday/Wednesday, so that the tournament(s) will be decided in approx. two and a half weeks.
I have never figured out how to get the teams from the completed domestic tournaments, as Denmark is the only country of the six to play their season from summer to summer, while the others play over a calendar year.
Is there a kind soul who can maybe teach me how to make the tournament - or a kind soul who can make it for me and upload the file?
