One thing to note before you read my journey, is that I’ll be playing in FM Touch on my iPad. This means two things:

- I cannot manually select my previous managerial experience, it automatically has been set to 2 stars at the start of the game. I was unsure how to change this, and as going to try and offset the extra help by aiming to win a World Cup as an addition to the 5 Continental competitions.
- I’m only allowed to select 5 nations, and cannot change these once the game starts. The nations I have selected are Spain, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil and China.
