So I'm currently working on a custom database for the 5th and possible 6th tiers of Danish football, however, I'm having issues getting the promotion from the 5th tier and the relegation down to the 6th tier.
To explain how it works, the league is split into 4 subdivisions each containing 10 teams. The top 2 from each subdivision go into the promotion playoff, their points are reset and they play another set of games, 1 at home and 1 away against the 7 other teams that qualified. The 8 teams in each subdivision that didn't make the top 2 keep their points and also play another set of games.
Here are my issues, I can get the relegation to work, with the obvious relegation playoff, however in that situation, I can't get the promotion to work since I need to take the top 2 from each of the subdivisions. The only way I have gotten the promotion to work is by moving the teams from their subdivisions, into their parent division and changing it from containing subdivisions to just a normal league with groups, but in this situation, the relegation is fucked since if I wanna take all the teams that didn't make top 2 it wants to create 1 relegation playoff with all the remaining 32 teams, which for obvious reasons doesn't work.
