Amateur to Semi Pro

Hi, I've taken amateur team that after 2 seasons turned semi-pro. I am able to sign the staff with normal semi-pro contracts, but the players (both new and existing) are only able to sign temporary contracts (no wage, just appearance bonus and some other bonuses). Is this a bug or a feature? I've seen semi-pro teams with normal time-bound contracts. Any ideas what can I do?

Absolutely normal behaviour. Just because a club goes semi-pro doesn't mean it magically has the finances to pay players to do nothing. They are called 'non-contracts'.
