Training philosophy and some firm questions!

I am challenged to understand the philosophy behind training (and skill gain) in the game.
What I do understand is:
* Good training facilities
* Good trainers

Okay - that part is quite understandable
I have experienced that other mechanisms also apply
* Player mood (bad mood -> angry players) tend to train poorly
* 1st team matches also seem to effect skill gain

Here are my questions:
1. What does each training category cover? (attack, defending, aerobics, etc.)?
2. I cannot seem to raise/change the 30 pct. on tactics - each time I go away from screen and back it is set on 30 pct. :-(
3. What should young/midlle age/older players focus on?
4. What should each position (defender, back, striker, etc.) focus on?
5. Should I be focussing strenght/aearobics preseason and more skills when playing season?
6. What determines when player gets unhappy with training schedule - and when will I know when each individually are set at the correct amount?
7. When getting injured people back in shape should on focus on specific training parameters?
8. My last question is the most annoying! Where can I see how many trainers I am allowed to have? And WHY am I only able to max a max salery on 1.000 UK pounds for trainers when I have a semi star team in premier league (played Rotherham from low division to premier league now - 1st season here.....)

I hope some of u clever people are able to help me with some of the questions - looking forward to hear from u all :)
1. If you hover your mouse cursor over a training category a little box shows up showing what attributes are trained in that category.
2. Not sure what you mean here.
3. Players develop physical attributes much quicker when they're young so focus on physical training, middle aged focus on mental and technical. Older players focus on aerobic training to try and extend their career a year or two.
4. Defenders focus on defending, tactics. Midfielders focus on ball control, tactics, defending/attacking. Strikers focus on shooting, attacking.
5.Many people prefer to do higher physical training pre-season and switch to lighter schedules during the season and this makes sense. I personally prefer to keep players on the same schedule all year round with a good balance between physical/technical training. The hidden attribute "professionalism" determines how much training a player can handle, a player with low professionalism can only handle a medium workload while a fairly professional player can handle a very heavy workload.
6. When I player is unhappy with a high training workload it will show up in the training part of his profile, also your coaches will tell you in backroom meetings if a player is unhappy with his training workload.
7. Don't worry about changing a players schedule as he's coming back from injury, they automatically train lightly when they're recovering.
8. When you click on boardroom, the number of coaches your allowed is shown in the bottom left corner. The amount of wages you can offer is proportional to your overall wage budget, as your wage budget increases the amount you can offer staff will increase too.
on my save at sporting, it's listed that i have the cap. to one more assitant coach, but when i try to sign one, the board cancels the deal and says no more are allowed!

is this a bug? or is it normal?

Its normal since I remember usually you couldn't have more than 2 assisstants.
you're right macdab,
but i started the season with 4, i fired 2 and then they won't let me sign in more, or even fire the ones who stayed because of the contract termination fee!!!

bollocks, i'm just gona have to stick to those 2 at least until i win some titles and be able to fire them!
Thanks alot for that answer - that helped a lot to "move on" :)
