I didnt find any place better to post this so here it is:

I dont know if many of you FMers have been playing this game has long has i do (Championship Manager 2001), but for the oldies out there who have, here's my question.

do you remember players like:

Tó Madeira (portuguese) - 3 goals per game avg.
Sergey Nikiforenko (ucranian) - 2 goals and 2 assists per game avg.
Maxim Tsigalko(belarus if im not mistaken) - 3.5 goals per game avg. ; and so on. . .

if you remember any more, share pls

cheers
I'm another old school player. I started with CM 97/98.
But I must say, CM 01/02 and CM 03/04 were the best edition of this game for me.

There is only one player that people say when you mention CM 01/02 to them. It's Maxim Tsigalko. He was "God of football" in that game.

And there was also a player called Bruno(AMC)from Gremio. He was insane. He played AMC for me and he scores in every game in first 10-15 minutes. I sold him to Liverpool for 154 million euro (it's record transfer for me since today).

Also I always buy:
Aghahowa
Taribo West
Isaak Okoronkwo
Sergey Nikiforenko
Assane N'Diaye
Evandro Roncatto
Cherno Samba
Kevin Hofland (my favorite DC)
Fabio Rustico (my second favorite DC)
Alex from Cruzeiro
Ricardinho from Santos
Tonton Moukoko (another insane AMC)

In CM 03/04 there was Anatoli Todorov. He was exactly like Maxim Tsigalko. I always buy both of them.

And the best tactics was 4-1-2-1-2. You couldn't lose when you played that way.

Ah, good old days...
I am playing since 01-02 and I will always remember Edixon Perea in 04-05 Columbian striker really cheap and scoring like beast.
Also Benedict Vilakazhi
I remember Supat Rungratsamee in 03/04, if I remember I signed him from Nottingham Forrest at the time and he scored on average a goal every game. A beast (I did have him out for a hole season with a big injury though. Also Adrian Nevins, he was fantastic in the DMC position and had averages of 9/10 (the lowest he ever got was about 7)I remember playing a 3-1-4-2 those were the days :)
Todorov and Kakalov both from Litex wore best players in CM03/04
0-0 Totally agree with your list. Some absolute gems. I remember having a player Youssef Hersi and i used to play him in the hole behind 2 strikers and he would score easily 35-45 goals a season
Tó Madeira was a fake player.
# Meister : Tó Madeira was a fake player.

yes, he was fake. He was created by some scout for the game. Does anybody remember Alexandros Papadopoulos from Asteras and Anastasios Skalidis? They both were goal machines. Thea are also fake players.
There was also a third Greek fake player with great stats.
adam fleming anyone? another fake player. would become world class after a couple of seasons. also mark tobin?
# fr3sh : adam fleming anyone? another fake player. would become world class after a couple of seasons. also mark tobin?

i almost forgot them. they were so young in CM 00. Like 13 or 14 years old. And of course Freddy Adu. I bought him since he was 14. he was always world class until FM10.

I just remember my 2 best wingers in CM days...Jan Kristiansen and Alexander Farnerud.
That was it, Alex Farnerud, I've been trying to think of it while reading this.

Mads Jorgensen was awesome back in the day and there was another scandinavian, name begins with an R (also a versatile midfielder). All 3 awesome, was maybe CM02/03 or 03/04.

Back in the day the original CM 92, Cantona and Giggs were machines!
sorry about the late reply people but i havent had the time to read this topic calmly enough to write down a decent response.

0:0 - aghahowa, okoronkwo and taribo west are nigerian classics, i used to sign taribo every game i played in a free transfer :D
Kevin hofland and alex from cruxeiro were also perfect cheap players ;)
freddy adu is another classic but from the states, he recently joined benfica in real life!
the other ones you mentioned i either didnt know them or i dont remember them!
and you're right, tsigalko was like the messi of those days!!!!!

scatman86 - youssouf hersi was a gold mine, he played on vitesse back in those days, and would join in for a symbolic value, just perfect!!!

Meister - you're right, he was fake, but still a goal machine :D

furious uk - you started playing this game when i was 4 years old :O

i'm glad to see that im not alone in the past :D thanks for replying people!
cheers
does anybody remember Sindre Loe Bing from FM05?
i think he was the only one player in history of this game who could play in all positions. he had all positions in green

never heard of him!! :P

how about AS Roma team in 2001??
they were like barcelona today, just invencible: totti, montella, cafu, delvechio and i think batistuta still played back then!!
