All of a sudden (just after date 30th of june) I signed a player - and paid him around 60K pr week. All of a sudden I was informed that 3-4 of my existing players were automatically raised in wage to the same level.........argghhhh!
Does anyone know why this happens - and for your information I do control contracts myself (not controlled by assistant manager).
Looking forward to hear from you.
Maybe they have in contract that every year they have a small procentage raise or you got promoted and they had in contract that in promotion they had a raise.
I did not promote (plays rotherham in season 2015/2016) - I placed 12th or someting in Premier League - and they do not have any such clauses of automatic wage rise :-(
And we were going from something like 15K to 60K :-/
same thing happened to me, because the players have highest wage clause
Yeah happened to me as well.
You need to remove the automatic highest earner whilst negotiating the salry and hope the agent agrees to it.
You may also want to remove the minimum transfer fee also depending on who you sign on. Or you may want to increase the minimum transfer fee.
This is a thing you must really pay attention to with this fm
Its the first time they put this in fm...
When u with a small club and small finances, u could go 'bankrupt' on it!
Always pay attention in a contract negotiation: automatic equaling highest earner.
Had it once in a game, small club, could sign a big player for my team, wanted a big contract, but i tought what the hell...
When i signed him, 3 players got the same wage budget as him, pooof no transfer/wage budget anymore.
Oh my!!! I see that now - what a careless manager I am
ok......gotta be so damn strict next time I make contracts....the answer is no no no no to those greedy bastards
The thing is that when you are a small club (Blue Square Premier) buying a player that has a lot more ability than other players in your team (in your current league) you often have to yield to the demands of the agent.
However, as you get promoted, this stalwart's contract (with highest earner clause) often comes back to bite you.
So, you have to weigh up your options on getting the player and getting promotion, OR possibly struggling to survive or worse.
