Jobs Going down in leagues?

Just wandering has anybody managed a team in top flight e.t.c then took a job for a team lower down in the tree e.g Conference Serie B e.t.c??

And does this affect your reputation i heard it can have a negative affect

yes it has. when i played CM 01/02 i managed man utd for five years. i won everything there is and after five years, i took the job as manager of lincoln city in the lower divisions. after just 2 months, from "world class" the rep dropped to "continental"...
